A Body in the City

  1. I love that this is a psychogeographic map of your body as it interacts with the city. Your use of bright red against a simple, black and white background makes it visually easy to grasp and graphically satisfying. It also encourages me, as the viewer, to consider my own personal experience as a "body in the city," and where my random body parts would go if I did the same project.

I'm interested in exploring alternative mapping ideas in the future, like experimenting more with psychogeography and rethinking what a map is. I think what our maps have in common is that they both encourage us on a personal and plural sense to rethink our existence as entities within a much larger system. This is a really complex idea and I think we should investigate it more in the future.
